The David City Elementary PTO put on an outdoor movie night that was later moved inside on Fri., Oct. 6 at 7 p.m., where families watched the new movie, Boss Baby.

Because this event was for families to get out and have fun together, Boss Baby, a children’s Fantasy/Comedy that came out early 2017, was played. Many children were laughing and smiling throughout the movie.

“Usually the events are very well attended by many families and children,” PTO member Barb Svoboda said “If it is a more exciting activity, kids get more excited to participate.”

There were around 100 families that attended the event.

“I believe the students like events like the movie night because it brings their whole family out,” PTO President Kasey Kuhlman said. “It’s an opportunity to see their friends outside of the school/classroom atmosphere.”

All of the families seemed to enjoy watching the movie and snacking on popcorn.

“ I think that people/students like these because it’s an opportunity to spend time with their friends and family,” PTO member Karla wall said.

The PTO plans to host another movie night in the future.
