DCHS Christmas Dress-Up Days: Christmas trees are set up throughout the school to show Christmas spirit.

Christmas Hats: Ms. Oltjenbruns shows Christmas spirit with her light-up hat.
Christmas Hats: Mr. VanWinkle shows Christmas spirit and supports the Huskers with his Husker hat.
Christmas Hats: Mrs. Miriovsky shows her Christmas spirit with a red Santa hat.

All students and all staff are encouraged to dress-up festively for the last weeks of school before Christmas by David City Public School’s NHS (National Honor Society). Dress-up days go as follows from Monday, December 14th to Tuesday, December 22; A Long Winter’s Nap (Pajama day); Mad About Plaid (Plaid/flannel shirt day); Ugly Sweater Day; Candy Cane Christmas (Red and white day); Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Santa hat day); Reindeer Day (Dress like Rudolph, or wear antlers); Christmas is going to be LIT (Lighted clothing). Wednesday, December 16th dress-up day (Ugly Sweater Day) will also be a contest sponsored by FFA (Future Farmers of America) and the top THREE ugliest sweaters will win a prize from David City’s FFA chapter.
