The David City High School hosted their very first Pep Rally of the year to introduce the 2020 Homecoming Candidates and the dress up prompts for homecoming week. There are five female candidates and five male candidates.

The candidates were announced this Friday as follows: 

Harley Eickmeier; Keyan Helgoth; Clayton Harris; Dylan Vodicka; James Escamilla; Payton Andel; Shelby Hein; Lauren Vandenberg; Natalie Blum; Maya Couch.

DCHS is continuing to do the football jersey auction. A spreadsheet will be sent out to all high school students, and the auctions will start on Monday, August 31st at $5. Any students can email Mrs. Heins, Shelby Hein, or Maya Couch if they’re interested in getting a jersey. Every bid must go up by at LEAST $1. If two people bid for the same jersey for the same amount, the time that the emails were sent will tell who gets it. If you get a jersey, you can pick it up on Thursday, September 3rd, and you must return it by Friday, September 4th. 

The Dress-Up day themes are Surfs Up, Beach Day (Monday, August 31st); Harry Potter, Battle of the Classes (Tuesday, September 1st) (Seniors Pink; Juniors Purple; Sophomores Red; Freshman Blue; 8th Graders Yellow; 7th Graders Green; Teachers Orange); Wild Wild West, Cowboy and Western Day (Wednesday, September 2nd); Space Jam, Athletic or Sports Gear (Thursday, September 3rd); and Friday Night Lights, Red and White Day (Friday, September 4th).
