The CTE Holiday Showcase

The CTE holiday showcase was new for DCHS last year. The showcase was assembled to raise money for the career technical education account. All the money raised is to help pay for any equipment needed, registrations, and for a possibly scholarship. The Ag, business, skilled and technical sciences, and FCS classes help to plan, make, and sell the products. Each class contributes and comes up with what they think will sell.

The Ag classes made artificial arrangements. Each arrangement is unique. They come in various sizes. Some arrangements can even include a deer antler. The bigger sizes are made from Santa buckets and tall charcoal buckets that have pine cones on them. The smaller sizes are made from silver buckets that are wrapped in ribbon. The price for the silver buckets are $15 or 2 for $25. The Santa buckets are $20 or 2 for $35. The Charcoal buckets are $25 or 2 for $45.

The skilled and technical sciences classes made cuts from the plasma table. With the plasma table the classes cut out home decor signs. The decor signs vary from small to big signs. The best-selling sign right now is the Home for the Holidays. The sign is painted with red spray paint and is cut out in the shape of Nebraska. The prices range from $20 to $25.

The FCS classes made goody trays.  Everything on the trays are made from scratch. The trays are neatly arranged and wrapped with ribbon. Each tray contains fudge, peanut brittle, Gingersnaps, peanut butter blossoms, white chocolate and chocolate pretzels, Russian tea cakes, cherry mash and more. There will be at least six pieces or more of each. Each tray will cost $20. All marketing classes made the spreadsheets with all the products and cost. They did the advertising for the showcase.

The orders for all the CTE products are due December 13th. The items are limited mostly all are just making 15 of each. All money raised will go to the career technical science education account. The profit that is made will be used to help pay for any equipment, registrations, and for a scholarship. Not much time is left so put in an order and support the DCHS CTE holiday showcase!
