Scout golfers take fourth at DC Invite

The Scout golf team competed at the home DC Invite on Mon., Apr. 23. Other teams that attended the meet include Centennial, Central City, Cross County, Friend, Heartland Community, Humphrey St. Francis, Lakeview, Osceola, Stanton, and Yutan. The Varsity team scored 345 points, earning fourth place.

The Varsity team includes juniors Will Danielson and Wiley Hein, sophomore Hunter Betzen, and freshmen Jordan Kracl and Ethan Zegers. Danielson shot a 77, Hein shot a 95, Betzen shot a 133, Kracl shot a 79, and Zegers shot a 94.

The Scouts also had a second team that included junior Cody Sabata and freshman Kordell Abel. Sabata shot a 131, and Abel shot at 134.

“Overall, our invite was pretty good, and we just have to keep practicing hard to get to where we want to be for Conference and Districts,” Hein said.

The golf team’s next meet will be Conference hosted at home on Thurs., May 3.
